Junior Innovate State Maker Fairs 2024
We bagged the
Gold & Silver Medals!
Agmo Junior students participated in the Junior Innovate State Maker Fairs, a state-level tech innovation competition organized by Chumbaka and endorsed by the Ministry of Education. Agmo Junior trained and sent four teams from three schools (SJKC Nan Yik, SJKC Kepong 3, and SJKC Han Ming) to compete. This year’s theme focused on SDG 3: Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages. The students developed arcade games using Scratch and Microbit, addressing topics like dengue prevention, air pollution, airborne virus infections, and balanced diets.
Out of 38 participating groups, Agmo Junior teams won one Gold and one Silver award. The Gold award winner will advance to the next round, with a chance to compete in the national Junior Innovate Competition in Penang in November 2024.

Group LYT
SJKC Nan Yik 'Lee Rubber'
Tan Liangyu and Goh Yu Tong, active athletes from SJK(C) Nan Yik Lee Rubber, wowed the crowd at Junior Innovate 2024 with their game "Stay Fit." The game follows a boy named David, who, while choosing meals at a restaurant, learns about balanced diets. Using microbit technology, players steer David to pick healthy foods from categories like Carbohydrates, Protein, and Vitamins while avoiding overeating.
"Stay Fit" teaches kids about the Quarter Quarter Half (QQH) concept, where balanced portions of food are essential for health. By engaging gameplay and the use of creative coding, the game educates players on the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits.

Their project? A fully programmed miniature vehicle that uses line tracing technology to move along a set path — simulating real-world smart factory transportation.

Big congratulations to our students for bringing home a Consolation Award at national level!
This is what happens when kids apply their coding, robotics, and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges. And this is just the beginning!

Our little Electric
Vehicle engineers
Our little Einsteins built their own innovative versions of an electric car after the 1-day Creative EV workshop.
They not only learn the science behind an EV but also to construct one
With wheels this is still an EV car. But these creative innovators built it to look like a Transformers robot when it stands tall.

He stands proud after creating a game on the Scratch platform

The kids simulated their name tags into the Micro:bit console.
